The series follows Madeline Archer, a feared assassin known as the Crimson Killer, whose final mission unexpectedly targets her ex-boyfriend, district attorney Hayden Kent.
As their past resurfaces and outside forces threaten them both, the story unfolds with a cast of actors who have become familiar faces in the fast-growing world of vertical dramas.
Here’s a look at the stars that comprise "The Hitwoman" cast.
Seth Edeen as Hayden Kent
Seth Edeen takes on the role of Hayden Kent, the district attorney at the center of "The Hitwoman." In the series, Hayden is a dedicated prosecutor who suddenly finds himself face-to-face with the woman he once loved.
That woman, Madeline Archer, is now the feared Crimson Killer—and she has been assigned to assassinate him.

Hayden’s story is built on that emotional tension. He still cares deeply for Madeline, even though she has become one of the most wanted assassins in New York.
The reunion forces him to choose between his responsibility to the law and his lingering feelings for the woman he once planned a future with.
Off-screen, Edeen’s journey to acting took an unexpected path. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on September 13, 1994, and spent much of his early life focused on sports.
He played football for years and was a defensive end for the Wyoming Cowboys before discovering he had been born with only one kidney, which forced him to step away from the sport.

After leaving football behind, Edeen worked as a civil engineer before eventually pursuing modeling and acting. That shift eventually led him into the world of vertical storytelling, where he has become one of the recognizable faces of the format.
In an interview with Dolce Magazine, Edeen reflected on how unexpected his career path was.
“I was a big hockey lover growing up. Acting wasn’t on my radar at all — not even mentioned. It was all sports: football, hockey, literally anything other than artistic,” he said.
Vertical dramas quickly became a turning point for him. One of his early projects gained massive attention online and helped introduce him to a new audience.
“My third vertical ever was with ReelShort — the Netflix of verticals,” Edeen explained. “When it came out, I gained about 15,000 followers in two weeks. That show later hit 100 million views.”
Since then, Edeen has appeared in numerous short-form series, many of which have attracted hundreds of millions of views. His other ReelShort titles include "Breaking the Ice," "Found a Homeless Billionaire Husband for Christmas," and "Trapped in the Boss’s Embrace."

Nicole Mattox as Madeline Archer
Nicole Mattox plays Madeline Archer, the mysterious assassin known as the Crimson Killer. In "The Hitwoman," Madeline is both feared and hunted by law enforcement while secretly trying to protect the one person she loves most—her younger sister.
Madeline’s life is controlled by crime boss Dante Caprio, who forces her to carry out dangerous missions. Just when she believes she is close to leaving that life behind, she learns that her final assignment is to kill Hayden Kent, the man she once loved.
Mattox brings a mix of vulnerability and intensity to the role, showing both the assassin’s dangerous reputation and the emotional struggles beneath it.
The actress grew up in a suburb of San Antonio, Texas. After finishing high school, she moved to Austin to study Radio, Television, and Film at the University of Texas before eventually relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time.
Her career has grown quickly thanks to the popularity of vertical storytelling. According to Revamp Magazine, Mattox has appeared in more than 25 vertical projects and has helped drive over a billion views on a single app.

This success has even earned her a nickname among fans and industry watchers: the “Queen of English-speaking Verticals.”
In an interview with the publication, Mattox described how the format changed her career.
“At the time, I was a broke actress in LA, genuinely grateful for any opportunity to act,” she said. “I had no idea this format would take off the way it has, or that it would allow me to become a full-time working actress just two years later.”
She also explained what makes vertical dramas unique.
“Verticals, at their core, are really today’s version of serialised storytelling, almost like modern soap operas created specifically for your phone,” Mattox said.
In addition to "The Hitwoman," and "Breaking the Ice," also opposite Edeen, Mattox has appeared in several other ReelShort titles, including "Monster in His Eyes," "You Drive Me Crazy," "Trapped in the Boss’s Embrace," and "Queen Never Cry."
