The romantic drama unfolds through a cast of actors who bring the story’s intense relationships and dramatic twists to life. Here’s a closer look at the actors behind the “Cancel the Wedding, Queen Moves On” cast and the roles they play.

Gabrielle Faith Brown as Maria Carter

Gabrielle Faith Brown plays Maria Carter, the woman at the center of the story. Maria’s life begins to unravel when she discovers her fiancé Ethan has been cheating on her, pushing her to reconsider her future and eventually reconnect with Alec Moore, a former acquaintance who has since become a billionaire.

Brown’s path to acting didn’t happen overnight. She actually started modeling at just eight years old, working mostly in print while spending a lot of time in New York during her early career.

As she grew older, her interests expanded beyond modeling. She played volleyball, traveled through Europe on a backpacking trip to figure out what direction she wanted her life to take, and even worked as a waitress in South Carolina before eventually returning to the entertainment industry

During that time, she also developed an interest in architecture and design, helping with home and garden renovation projects. But modeling alone eventually stopped feeling fulfilling.

As she explained in an interview, she realized she wanted something deeper than posing for photos. Acting gave her the chance to connect with audiences and evoke emotions in viewers, which ultimately drew her toward the craft.

Her first vertical drama audition came in March 2025 for ReelShort’s "True Heiress Saves High School," which helped open the door to more roles in the format. Since then, she has appeared in several vertical dramas, including "The Daughter of Zeus," "Fix You," and "Love Is a Dangerous Dance."

Reflecting on her journey, Brown joked that she feels like she has lived "four or five lives,” moving through different phases before finding her place in acting.

Edeen’s path to acting started far from Hollywood. He grew up in Wyoming and attended college there, where sports were a big part of his life. Before pursuing acting, he played Division I college football and was also passionate about hockey growing up.

After his football career ended due to medical issues, he eventually moved to California and began building a career in acting. Today, he lives in Venice Beach in Los Angeles, where he continues working in the fast-growing vertical drama space.

Even outside of acting, sports remain a big part of his life. He often plays basketball with friends and roommates several times a week. Edeen has said that if he hadn’t become an actor, he likely would have continued pursuing a career as a professional athlete.

His credits include "Trapped in the Boss’s Embrace," "I Had a Baby Without You," and "Breaking the Ice." Several of his vertical drama projects have also attracted hundreds of millions of views, helping him build a large online following.

Despite the growing attention, Edeen has said he remains focused on improving as an actor and building a long-term career in the industry.

Jeff Lawless as Ethan Lewis

Jeff Lawless plays Ethan Lewis, Maria’s ex-fiancé whose betrayal sets the story in motion. Ethan is portrayed as wealthy and influential, often using his status to manipulate situations and people around him.

In the series, Ethan’s secret relationship with his intern Grace ultimately destroys his engagement to Maria. His attempts to maintain control over the situation only add to the drama as the story progresses.

Lawless is an actor trained in both film and theater. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama and has performed in productions across the United States. During his time at NYU, he also participated in the Nine Muses Lab as a production intern working with director Bryce Dallas Howard.

In addition to acting, Lawless has experience behind the camera as a creative producer. He has appeared in several vertical dramas, including "You Divorced a Genius Heiress," "Married in a Heartbeat," and "Taming the Heiress." Many of his roles place him in antagonist or morally complex characters, something he has become known for within the vertical drama space.

Trinity Johnston as Grace Allen

Trinity Johnston portrays Grace Allen, Ethan’s intern who becomes involved in his secret affair. Grace initially appears innocent and naïve, but her true intentions slowly become clear as the story unfolds.

Her character adds tension to the series as she works alongside Ethan while hiding their relationship from Maria. Grace’s actions ultimately contribute to the unraveling of Maria and Ethan’s engagement.

Johnston is a winner of the Young Artist Academy Award, recognized for her leading role in the YouTube series "Austin High." She was also nominated by the same organization for her short film "My Soul to Keep."

Beyond acting, Johnston is also a producer and a student at the Los Angeles Film School, where she is studying film production and directing. Her recent vertical drama appearances include "The Christmas Switch," "The Godfather’s Secret Lover," and "The Rose Comes with Thorns."

"Cancel the Wedding, Queen Moves On" combines romance, betrayal, and revenge in a fast-moving vertical drama format. The chemistry between Gabrielle Faith Brown, Seth Edeen, Jeff Lawless, and Trinity Johnston helps bring the story’s emotional twists to life.

With many of the actors already experienced in short-form storytelling projects, the series continues ReelShort’s trend of building a recognizable lineup of performers across its growing catalog of vertical dramas.
