Lexi Angel as Natalie Smith

Lexi Angel stars as Natalie Smith, the story's resilient heroine. Natalie grows up overlooked by her grandmother, Mabel, who openly favors her younger sister Vanessa. After being manipulated into marrying a farmer and thrown out of her home, Natalie begins a new chapter at Maple Farm, where she gradually finds acceptance and love.

Outside of vertical dramas, Angel has an extensive background in musical theater. Originally from Parkland, Florida, she earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University, where she studied with notable performers and educators including Sutton Foster, Michael Rafter, and Sierra Boggess.

Her stage credits include Priscilla Presley in "ELVIS: A Musical Revolution," Little Red in "Into the Woods," and Anne in "A Little Night Music."

"In Love with a Single Farmer Daddy" marked Angel's ReelShort debut. Since then, she has appeared in several vertical dramas including "Never Divorce a Billionaire Wife," "His Dumped Wife Is a Queen," "My Escort Boy Is a Billionaire," and "His Cure, His Wife."

Seth Edeen as Rhett Callahan

Seth Edeen plays Rhett Callahan, the rugged farmer who becomes Natalie's husband. His protective nature and growing relationship with Natalie drive much of the story's romance.

Before becoming an actor, Edeen was a standout athlete in Wyoming. He played football for the University of Wyoming and discovered during his sophomore year that he had been born with only one kidney. After graduating, he worked as a civil engineer before relocating to Southern California and pursuing acting.

In interviews, Edeen has spoken about how unexpectedly important vertical dramas have become to his career.

"I never would have expected that it would become such a long-term thing," he said in November 2025. "Here we are two years later, and I've made a whole career out of it."

Edeen has become one of the most recognizable leading men in the vertical drama space. His credits include “Step by Step,” "Daddy Forgot, But Mommy Remembers," "I Had a Baby Without You," "Trapped in the Boss's Embrace," "The CEO's Twins Want Mommy Back," "The Quarterback's First Love," “Cancel the Wedding, Queen Moves On,” and "Breaking the Ice."

Young actress Charing Vivienne Draper plays Ellie Callahan, Rhett's daughter. Ellie becomes mute following the death of her mother and initially struggles to trust new people. Over time, she develops a close relationship with Natalie, who helps bring warmth and stability back into her life.

Draper is a performer with experience in film, stage, and dance. She trains in multiple dance styles including jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, and acro, while also studying piano and voice.

Although still early in her career, Draper has already built an impressive list of screen credits. In addition to "In Love with a Single Farmer Daddy," she has appeared in "What Doesn't Break Me," "Daddy I'm Your Lucky Star!," "It's Not Like That," and "The Maid with His Blood: Came Back to Burn."

Aedin Waldorf portrays Vanessa Smith, Natalie's younger sister and one of the story's primary antagonists. Originally from Texas, Waldorf made her television debut in Netflix's "Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields" before moving into independent film work. She earned a BFA in Theatre Performance from Baylor University and has continued training with institutions including Lesly Kahn & Company and Margie Haber Studios.

Waldorf has described herself as an actress drawn to intelligent and ambitious characters. On her website, she notes that she is attracted to roles featuring "drive and brains" and has cited performers such as Saoirse Ronan and Jodie Foster as inspirations.

Her other credits include "Bull Shark 2," "Men in Cars," "Ring by Spring," and "Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields."

Scotlyn Nowling as Callie Brown

Scotlyn Nowling plays Callie Brown, Rhett's neighbor and another major source of conflict in the series. Callie is determined to win Rhett's affection and sees Natalie as a threat.
